Uncle Ray’s currently has two manufacturing facilities, the flagship manufacturing facility remains in operation in Detroit MI and our newest state of the art facility is in Montgomery City MO.

Job Summary:
As a Sanitation Technician at Uncle Ray’s, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety within our facility. Your primary responsibility will be to maintain and execute sanitation protocols throughout the facility to guarantee the production of safe and high-quality snack foods. You will collaborate with a dynamic team and follow industry best practices to uphold our commitment to quality and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
Sanitation Procedures: Execute and follow the established sanitation procedures to clean and sanitize equipment, production lines, processing areas, and other facility spaces according to the schedule and industry guidelines.
Food Safety Compliance: Adhere to all food safety regulations, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points), and other relevant standards to prevent contamination and maintain a sanitary environment.
Safe Chemical Handling: Be responsible for the safe use and handling of appropriate chemicals during the sanitation process. Adhere strictly to safety protocols and guidelines when working with cleaning agents.
Safety Precautions: Prioritize safety in all aspects of the sanitation process and ensure that all necessary safety precautions are followed when performing your responsibilities. This includes using personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
Effective Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with other team members, including production staff, quality control personnel, and maintenance team, to coordinate sanitation activities and address any sanitation-related issues.
Physical Capability: Demonstrate the ability to lift up to 50 lbs., as some cleaning equipment and materials may require physical strength.
Flexibility: Be flexible in handling a variety of work responsibilities available in the sanitation department. This may include adjusting work schedules to accommodate production needs or taking on additional tasks when required.
Inspection and Reporting: Regularly inspect equipment, machinery, and production areas for cleanliness and potential issues, promptly reporting any findings to the sanitation manager.
Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of sanitation activities, including cleaning logs, checklists, chemical usage, and equipment maintenance records.
Continuous Improvement: Proactively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in sanitation procedures and practices, suggesting process enhancements and identifying areas for optimization.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a sanitation role within a food manufacturing or processing facility is highly preferred.
Understanding of food safety regulations and sanitation best practices.
Familiarity with cleaning chemicals, their handling, and associated safety protocols.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Detail-oriented and able to follow specific instructions and procedures accurately.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
Physical capability to lift, carry, and move heavy equipment or objects as required.
Willingness to work flexible hours and occasional weekends to accommodate production schedules.
