Food Manufacturing / Seasoning Operator

Uncle Ray's in Montgomery City MO is growing and looking for a Seasoning Operator to join the team. The ideal Seasoning Operator will have be responsible for ensuring smooth operation of automatic seasoners and have a strong knowledge of the food manufacturing process.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

. Must be able to stand for long periods of time with repetitive motions.

. Must be able to lift 50lbs at shoulder height- Multiple times within the shift.

· Complete a pre-operation check on seasoning dispensers to ensure sanitation has been completed and reduce the risk of cross-contamination.

· Obtain a copy of the production schedule before the start of your shift and review seasoning needs.

· Verify the correct seasoning and coverage with QC before adding to seasoning hopper.

· Seasoning buckets must be emptied and used before new bags are opened.

· Visually inspect product throughout production to ensure proper seasoning application.

· Seasoning dispensers and screens must be always covered.

· Maintain a clean work area including catwalks, staging areas, storage areas, etc.

· No food contact equipment or utensils may touch the floor at any time.

· Thoroughly wipe all pans and buckets during change overs to reduce the risk of cross-contamination.

· Coordinate changeovers with machine operators to prevent cross-contamination.

· Seasoning must be completely closed, tied, and tagged after each use.

· Empty all dispensers and perform wipe down at the end of each shift, where appropriate.

· Complete any required paperwork, as assigned by your supervisor.

· Clean seasoning buckets after each use

· Clean seasoning applicators weekly

· Clean seasoning storage bins weekly

· Perform all duties in an effective manner to minimize downtime, raw material loss, and seasoning spillage.

Experience/Education

• High School Diploma/GED
• Ability to work through problems to find root causes and address issues in writing and/or orally
• Must be able to follow standard work instructions and carry out written and oral instructions accurately
• Ability to pay close attention to detail
• Ability to concentrate for extended time periods while maintaining good hand/eye coordination
• Working knowledge with industrial food processing equipment
• Willing to work in an environment that has extreme temperatures, humidity, slippery surfaces

Working Conditions:

• Work performed in general food production with exposure to machine noise, ingredient and finished product residues.
• Food allergens are present in facility and used daily.
• Long pants and closed toed shoes are required along with hair/ beard coverings and face masks. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided.

Job Type: Full-time
